 MTV Video Music Award for Best Dance Video

 2008 Winner -- When I grow up by the Pussycat Dolls
Very colourful video
Its a video of the Girl group dancing on stationary cars and walking down a street looking strong. There is lots of close up shots & shots looking either down on the girls or a view from the ground upwards which promotes the girl group and shows them as very powerful.
2010 Winner -- Bad Romance by Lady Gaga
shows the artist throughout the video/ to promote her. Lots of costume change and set change. Quite a dark set not colourful.



2012 Winner -- Feel so close by Calvin Harris
Has a montage feel to it as it has lots of different little clips. Shows the artist through the video in little clips singing the song. Not as bring and colourful as some of the past winners.



2016 Winner -- How deep is your love by Calvin Harris & Disciples
Lots more editing/colourful/good editing & some montage clips. Has a story line that doesn't show the artists therfore it promotes the artist for their work & they don't have to show there selfs off because they are well know now





2017 Winner -- Stay by Zedd, Alessia Cara
quite dark at the start. Shows a story line. Cool editing features. Slight bit repetitive. Doesn't inclue a full dance section.

Dear Moderator, My name is Lily Warrington Candidate No. 1732 , welcome to my A Level Media Studies blog. The Media & Me

The media has played a massive role in my life, with being introduced to  it at such a young age I think it personally has shaped me to the person I am today. The first experience I had with media was the tv, which helped to broaden my knowledge by bringing my imagination to life. Watching shows such as "Little Einsteins" each episode consisted of a mission and journey of discovery that included a celebrated piece of classical music and a renowned work of art or world culture. As I got older i was introduced to teen magazines these were filled with the latest gossip and fashion trends. Not only were they good for those reasons they were especially good for relatable stories about real girls facing the challenges of growing up, such as bullying, school and typical girl problems.
